It all started with a group of people who came over from Pretoria, South Africa and they came to make a home here in Cape Town believing that God had sent them here for a purpose. They came with their ministry vision called Zoe Academy which was a great success in Pretoria. Zoe Academy is an initiative where young people, after Grade 12, can do a gap year in the ministry being trained and equipped in life skills, the arts and ministry. They have ventured out into schools, done many outreaches and trained many young people to love God and to love His people well.
Coming to Cape Town they believed and trusted that God was going to provide for this ministry. Zoe, under the leadership of Sallie and Hannie Raaths, had taken hands with a few pastors and friends here in Cape Town to start off the CC campuses. The CC campuses consist of Church and Community campuses, where campuses are being set up at various churches to equip young people to lead there for the following year's students. The ministry was well established in Pretoria and ran full-time campuses with full-time staff and students. However, as they made the move to Cape Town they are starting CC campuses on a part time level until Zoe Academy is well established here in the Mother City.
They have started a CC campus at The River Church, Kenwyn founded in Cape Town on the 13 February 2016 with Orientation Day with 11 Zoe Part Time registered students. I just happened to be a part of that group and I feel so appreciative and excited of what I have learned today and what I will continue to learn. The campus is all about equipping the individual in so many aspects of life, in ways suitable to the ages of the individuals. It is the ideal place for young people to grow and become the best they can be.
Zoe hosts their lessons facilitated through fun, adventurous activities and group sessions. They also include camps they go on together in selected terms. The rates of the CC campuses are pretty decent and you get more of what you bargained for. You leave with something no money can buy.
If you are reading this article and you do not know where you are going and what you want to do with your life, then Zoe Academy is the place to be.
It is an environment where young people can be themselves and be uncomfortably comfortable in discovering who they are and their hidden abilities and gifts to be shaped. Today I learned about the values one should have in everyday life and how I fit into the picture of being a young person in my home, society and amongst strangers. It is growing opportunity where every individual is being formed and restored to what God has dreamed us to be when He created us with passion and love.
We trust that even as parents or young people will read this article and many other articles about Zoe that you would be encouraged to join the movement. If you want to get in contact with Zoe Academy, you can do so via email or call Sallie Raaths and join the campus, or even if you want to sow financially or in any way possible, then you are more than welcome to make contact via these channels. Zoe Academy will be opening more campuses around Cape Town and we trust that God is going to raise up a generation of leaders who will reach out to a dying world.

Please note this is not a church thing, but a kingdom development. We are inviting all young people from all of Cape Town to join in and you will definitely see the fruits of it. Even if you from another church or you do not attend church, it is not about that, but the vision is to see young people developed and growing in every area of life.
Shalom,
Rowyn Coetzee.
