I don't think Jesus likes it when we judge others according to what WE think they are or even according to what they have done. Neither to compare them to the hurt we experienced before. I am reminded of the prostitute Jesus protected, asking the people who were ready to stone her if they had no sin and then they could cast the stone. Well often times I feel like that very prostitute, that harlot. That Jesus Himself defends me, even as I sin against Him. But yet it is me that very harlot who wants to judge everyone I encounter. Judging with the words I speak, judging with the words I don't speak. The things between the lines, the motives of our hearts.
So we spoke today, the woman in my introduction, and I was reminded that "Everyone hurts", even me. I think more me lol. But the Lord takes those ashes and He gives us beauty like He says in Isaiah 61.
It leaves me wondering, what are the depths of humanity's heart? What lies there?
If we would describe ourselves as a garden, what would the garden look like?
Are we allowing God to make us into a beautiful garden?
Is the depths of our soul a place for foul rats to dwell? For sin and sorrow to abide?
How do I treat people?
How do I show honour to my brother?
What happens when no one is watching?
What are the depths of my heart?
What are the depths of my heart God?
We are all flawed, we all have issues. Let us strive to walk purely before the Father, but also with each other. We are all a mess, but we are enough, we are in the eyes of the Beholder, the One who pursues our hearts! So that He can make it a beautiful place to dwell in.
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Great...
